The Instructor: Jose María Cabrera
Jose María Cabrera was born in Caleta de Famara on February 11th, 1980. He started in the surfing’s world when he was very young. At the age of 17 he made his first trip to France to compete in the PRO JUNIOR of Capbreton, this was a very special trip because it was where he got his first sponsors.
The 2018 was an important year for Jose Maria, he obtained a great result in the championship of Margaret River (Australia), rose from the 300 position to the 29th of the world Ranking.
After this, he centered his career as a free surfer with the support of his sponsors Volcom, Nixon, Carver and Slash.
In the year 2012 he opened his training and improvement Center for surfing on the Lanzarote’s island.
Currently JM is a renowned surf coach at European level. He is dedicated to training both surf professionals and any surfer who wants to correct and improve his technique.
You can train with him at his high performance center in Lanzarote or in collaboration with schools or surf camps in Indonesia, South America, Maldives, Peninsula, France, Portugal and now for the first time in Morocco.
